Psychology Today is the world’s largest psychology and mental health publishing enterprise.
American Psychological Association (APA)
The leading scientific psychology organization that aims to advance the world’s psychology knowledge.
PsyPost
An independent news website that shares information about recently published psychology research.
Mental Health Hotlines
The following are mental health hotlines that can provide you with support during a crisis. Note that some hotlines specialize in supporting specific groups and demographics:
988 Lifeline
The 988 lifeline provides free, confidential support for mental health struggles, alcohol and drug use, and more. Options for calling and texting available.
Crisis Text Line
A text-specific platform that provides support in mental health topics, as well as those dealing with gun violence, grief, financial stress, and more.
The Trevor Project Suicide Hotline
The Trevor Project features a 24/7 suicide hotline designed to specifically support LGBTQ youth. They provide options for chatting via their website, calling, and texting.
RAINN National Sexual Assault Hotline
RAINN provides support to those experiencing issues or seeking information about sexual assault. They provide options for chatting on their website, calling, and texting.
National Domestic Violence Hotline
This organization provides options for calling, chatting, and texting for support for domestic violence. They also have a new AI chatbot designed to help when live support is unavailable.

National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI)
NAMI is an advocacy group whose website provides helpful information about different mental illnesses, relevant mental health statistics in the United States, and guides for how to navigate your mental health journey.
American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
A nonprofit organization that provides research funding and education about risk factors of suicide and ways that suicide intersects with other identities.
The Trevor Project
A nonprofit organization that supports LGBTQ+ advocacy, research, support, and education. They specifically focus on LGBTQ+ suicide prevention. They have an online community for LGBTQ+ people age 13-24.
Anxiety & Depression Association of America
The ADAA focuses on raising awareness and funding research about anxiety, depression, OCD, and PTSD. They provide options for connecting with therapists and online support communities.
