Overview of Our Services

Here at The MindCounsel, we offer various psychiatry services via telehealth for adults located in California.

We have two core services for our patients:

  • psychiatric diagnostic evaluations
  • medication management

We provide those two core services in the following clinical focus areas:

  • mood disorders
  • anxiety disorders
  • attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
  • sleep-related concerns

Our Core Services

All appointments at The MindCounsel will relate to these core services:

Psychiatric Diagnostic Evaluations

Psychiatric diagnostic evaluations are the process by which we look at a patient’s symptoms, environment, family history, and all other factors to understand what mental health factors could be affecting their health.

This process happens throughout the psychiatrist-patient relationship. We want to make sure that any treatment we provide is best suited to you and your specific circumstances.

Medication Management

Medication management is a collaborative process where we assess a medication’s effectiveness, any potential side effects, and your personal goals and opinions to determine whether to make any changes.

Our priority at The MindCounsel is to make sure that you feel comfortable and informed about your medication and how it is affecting you at every stage of treatment.

Our Clinical Focus Areas

We provide psychiatry services primarily for the following mental health conditions and areas. Note that you can still seek out care with The MindCounsel even if your concerns are unrelated to these four areas. This is just a list of our primary focuses.

Mood Disorders

Mood disorders are a group of mental health conditions that relate to your emotional functioning. There are two main groups of mood disorders: depression-related disorders and bipolar-related disorders.

Anxiety Disorders

Anxiety disorders are mental health conditions that involve intense feelings of fear and worry that interfere with their daily life. They include generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, phobias, and more.

Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder

Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a condition characterized by a difficulty managing one’s attention. For some, it makes it hard to pay attention, for others, it makes them hyperactive.

Sleep Problems

Sleep problems, as their name suggests, involve having difficulties with obtaining and/or maintaining good quality sleep. For some, it might involve a difficulty staying awake.
